OUR MOST VERSATILE, LONG TRAIL PACK

The versatile 3400 Junction allows you to keep your options open when it comes to packing for a big weekend, multi-day section hikes, thru hikes, or to meet the gear demands of changing seasons and environments. Ideal when resupply points are less frequent and/or for equipment flexibility is needed. When the extra volume is not in use, the 3400’s top can roll down enough to make the overall size of the pack similar to the 2400, but that additional space can come in pretty handy when you need it.

For hikes measured more by changes in climate zones and geographical features than distance, the Junction offers the ultimate versatility required to meet those demands.

Best Pack I’ve Ever Used
I primarily operate in the south east, which rains a lot, this pack has kept my gear bone dry. Love the simplicity and rides more comfortably than any of my larger packs.

So Happy
Delivery box felt like it was empty. Just putting it on, you know you’ll be flying over terrain. Inaugural hike was 20 miles long and much of that through snow, so happy to have a sweet new toy.

Amazing
Went from another pack to Hyperlite Junction. It's perfect for my C.T. thru hike in 2022. I'm 6'2 and got the tall, fits like a glove. I'm so happy I made the switch, I wish I had it on the A.T. Thanks Again Hyperlite!!

I took my new pack for a quick 27 mile shakedown and ended up hiking 20.5 miles with a smile on my face. I didn’t want to stop for camp 🤣🤪

Good job Hyperlite! Trips are in the works!!

No compromises

I expected to have to make some compromises when switching to a lighter pack, but that was not the case. I love the non-mesh side pockets (which don't get caught and rip in the Australian Scrub). Each pocket is large enough for two one-litre bottles.

I love the way the struts support the load on my hips but hold it close to my back for stability and balance.

It took a while to get used to the roll-top closure, and at first I felt the lack of a lid pocket, but I have used the top straps to hold boots and other things. I now use the large back pouch for things that I need to access quickly, e.g. rain gear and gaiters.

The pack is well made and despite heavy use is not showing too much wear. My wife has now also bought a 3400 and is equally happy with hers.

Excellent

It's quite easy to fall in love with this pack. It's obviously extremely light, but it's comfortable and easy to organize.

Wonderful pack

Took the pack out on a quick out and back 9 mile to see how it carried. Loaded with 25lbs of equipment, food and water the pack did excellent. Being a water bladder guy I appreciate they have the internal pouch and opening in the pack for us. Mildly annoying that the strap internal of the pack didn't have some type of buckle to secure the top of the bladder. Also not the most comfortable to carry the full 3L, protrudes into your back quite a bit until its down to about 2L.

Had a Bearvault BV500 on top of the closed pack secured with the strap. Felt incredibly secure, after half the hike I honestly forgot it was there. Very easy to cinch it down tightly. Can fit vertically inside but fitting everything around it would kind of suck. Will experiment more on a few more hikes before going on a trip.

Loaded pack with hip belt and chest straps on, I felt very comfortable. I did notice I'd occasionally feel the left strap rubbing a bit on the outside edge of my pec at times, will need to mess with shoulder and chest straps to find the perfect lengths. I'm right on the edge of too big for Small and too small for Medium. Ordered the Small and I'm happy with it. Looking forward to the season and getting more miles. I gave 5 stars but would say closer to 4.8 for very minor annoyances.
